Every shirt on this shelf lives in the gap between what you earn and what you just did. INSUFFICIENT FUNDS is the card machine’s verdict, worn with confidence. MY RENT WENT UP. MY STANDARDS WENT DOWN. is the lease renewal, summarised. I STILL WANT THE MONEY is the one thing every job has in common. MAJORING IN POOR DECISIONS is the student loan, framed and hung.
The rest of the shelf covers the bank balance as an opponent, the savings account as a memorial, and retail therapy, which works, briefly, and bills monthly. The joke is always the habit: the treat you deserved four times this week, the subscription you forgot you pay for, the “I’ll start saving next month” you’ve been saying since you opened the account.
Anyone who has checked their balance before ordering a coffee and then ordered the large. Renters, the week the email from the landlord arrives. Students. The friend who says “I’m being good this month” on the second of the month. The person who just got paid and is already doing the maths on a napkin.
It’s an easy gift for the friend who is always broke and somehow always at brunch. It’s accurate, and they’ll laugh. Eventually.
Pick the money habit, not the amount. Rent complaint, the rent shirt. Counting down to payday, I STILL WANT THE MONEY, which works in every job and every currency. Card declined once, in public, and still not over it: INSUFFICIENT FUNDS. If you can’t choose, that’s also a spending habit.
Each design comes in a dark set or a light set, inked so the line reads from across the room. XS to XL are the listed price; 2XL and up cost a little more, and the size chip shows the number before you add it. That’s more warning than your bank gives you.
Sizes run XS to 5XL on a standard unisex fit: a 38 to 41 inch chest is an M, 42 to 45 is an L, 46 to 49 is an XL. The size guide on every product page has the laid-flat width and length in inches and centimetres. Measure a shirt you already like, laid flat, armpit to armpit, and match it. Between sizes, go up.
Shipping is free on every order. US orders usually arrive in about 5 to 10 business days; the EU, UK and Canada in about 6 to 12. Every shirt is made after you order it, so it can’t come back for a change of mind or a wrong size. If it arrives damaged, defective or wrong, email support within 30 days of delivery and it’s replaced or refunded, free. The full rules are on the returns page.
If they’d laugh about it, yes. The shirt is about the habit (the brunch, the subscription, the treat), not the balance itself, so it lands as a joke with them, not at them. If money is a sore subject right now, buy them dinner instead.
